Affiliate marketing is all about conversions; if you want to become a superstar affiliate then you have to make sure that you’re getting sales on a regular basis from your target market. The best way to keep a steady stream of conversions flowing into your site is to have a finely-tuned and highly targeted list of subscribers that you can contact for direct promotion. The best way to begin collecting contact information and build up a solid list is to create what is called a “squeeze page,” which effectively invites your site’s visitors to register for your mailing list or leave their e-mail address for future offers or promotions. As with all online businesses, the most important thing is to generate traffic for the site.

However, it will not be easy to generate the traffic you need because there is an ever increasing amount of competition. But when you do have targeted traffic coming your way with the various marketing methods, it’s important to make sure that it converts. There is no guarantee that any given visitor will come back to your site, so it is important to collect their contact information when they initially visit. Getting new customers again and again isn’t cheap, which is why you have to look at repeat sales from existing customers, and the best way to do that is to have your own list. Naturally, the more targets you have on your list the more chances you will have to convert and earn income. Here are some tips that will help you to create a very effective squeeze page to increase your marketing results.

As it is the first thing they see when they find themselves on your squeeze page, your headline must be strong enough to get those landing page conversions. You want to employ headlines that will catch the reader’s eye and encourage them to linger on your page and discover all that you have to offer. Internet users have short attention spans, and you only have a second or two to get them interested before they are off to some other site. You may need to try out a few titles to see which one gets the most conversions, then consider that the best one and sitick with it from then on. In other words, your headline needs to be structured and designed in such a way that it gets the visitor’s interest. However, there is more to a successful squeeze page than just a flashy headline; you will need to have content that meshes well with the headline you employ.

If the headline is out of sync with the content, the flow of the page will be disturbed. So what’s the most effective way to do that? A great strategy is to present your visitor with the most enticing benefit they will receive from you when they present you with their contact information. A convincing explanation to your prospect of all the positives your free gift will bring them is a tried and true technique.
Keeping the extraneous additions to your page at a minimum is a good idea, so in order to maximize your conversions avoid useless graphics. Since your squeeze page is not a normal sales pitch there is no need to eat up space with the graphics. The only graphics that are present should be ones that compliment and convey your free offer. A good example of this is using an e-cover to give the visitor a better feel about your bribe. The main purpose/aim/goal of the squeeze page is to get conversions by effectively capturing the contact info of the visitors; there should be no room for distractions.

Finally, keep tweaking your squeeze page as time goes on to tailor it for the response you want. Any time you feel your conversion rate is declining make some adjustments. When you follow these simple rules, you’ll be able to produce a variety of squeeze pages that bring you the desired results.
